🥾 The Laxapana Experience: A Journey to the Base
Laxapana isn’t a waterfall you simply view from the road; the real magic lies in the journey down to its base. The adventure begins with a descent of over 500 concrete steps that wind through lush greenery. As you get closer, the gentle sound of flowing water grows into a thunderous roar, and a cool, refreshing mist fills the air.
At the bottom, you’re greeted by the spectacular sight of the Maskeliya Oya crashing down 126 meters into a large, rocky pool. For the adventurous, taking a dip in the natural pool is an unforgettable experience, but always be cautious of the strong currents, especially after heavy rainfall.
